1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, complete your brand profile, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, business information, and content preferences.
We automatically collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, browser type, IP address, and device information. This helps us improve the platform and your experience.
When you connect social media accounts or upload content, we process that data solely to provide our services — generating and optimizing your content strategy.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve GoSocially's services, including generating personalized content, analyzing trends relevant to your industry, and adapting content to each platform.
We use your brand profile and voice data exclusively to generate content that matches your tone and style. This data is never shared with other users or used to train models for other customers.
We may use your email to send transactional messages (account updates, weekly reports) and, with your consent, marketing communications. You can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party service providers to operate GoSocially. Each provider processes data only as necessary to provide their specific service:
OpenAI — Content generation, voice guide creation, trend synthesis, and document text extraction. Your brand profile, content preferences, and uploaded transcripts are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models.
ElevenLabs — Voice synthesis and audio generation. Voice samples and text content are sent to ElevenLabs for audio processing.
Perplexity — Real-time trend research and web intelligence. Your industry, niche, and topic data are sent to Perplexity's Sonar API to generate relevant trend reports.
Deepgram — Audio and video transcription. Uploaded media files are sent to Deepgram's Nova-3 API for speech-to-text conversion. Media files are deleted from our storage after transcription completes.
Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, and file storage. All user data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions. We do not store your full credit card number — Stripe handles all payment data directly.
Resend — Transactional email delivery (account confirmations, invite emails, weekly reports). Only your email address and message content are shared with Resend.
Vercel — Application hosting and deployment. Vercel processes web requests and serves the application.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We have never sold personal information, and we have no plans to do so.
We share data with the service providers listed in Section 3 solely to operate the platform. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or security threats.
5. Data retention
Account data (profile, brand information, voice guides) is retained for as long as your account is active.
Generated content (posts, scripts, newsletters) is retained for the life of your account so you can access your full content history.
Uploaded media files (audio, video) are deleted from storage immediately after transcription. Only the text transcript is retained.
Usage logs and analytics data are retained for 12 months, then automatically purged.
Audit logs (security events, data modifications) are retained for 24 months for compliance purposes.
If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days via cascading deletion. Data required by law (e.g., financial transaction records) may be retained for up to 7 years.
Content you generate through GoSocially belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of any content created using our platform.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@gosocially.io.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including: the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; the right to delete your personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your data); and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
7. Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. This means we will not deny you services, charge you different prices, provide a different quality of service, or suggest you will receive a different level of service for making a privacy request.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest via our infrastructure providers, row-level database security, and strict access controls.
We maintain comprehensive audit logging of all data modifications and authentication events. All API endpoints are protected by rate limiting, schema-based input validation, and security headers.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We use analytics cookies to understand how you use GoSocially so we can improve the experience.
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
10. Children's privacy
GoSocially is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. International data transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using GoSocially, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through contractual obligations with our service providers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
